The Principal is responsible for implementing and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures and is accountable to the district superintendent and receives staff advise/counsel from the leaders of all district departments. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Principal work collaboratively with all members of the school staff and communicate effectively with parents and members of the community. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for planning, curriculum development, program evaluation, extracurricular activities, personnel management, financial management, emergency procedures, resource scheduling, and facilities operations. Additionally, the Principal has functional accountability for articulating their school's educational program and providing means for the orderly progression of students through the school system and to project them self as the authentic and credible key figure in their school.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics.
