This person should maximize learning for all students and contribute to their development as confident, competent, and creative learners.Responsibilities:Strong Math and Language Arts skills Demonstrate knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy. Set specific objectives wherever possible in lesson preparation and weekly lesson plans. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment, diagnosis, and research related to learning. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, administration, and the larger community. Maintain accurate records of student progress. Use formative and summative assessments to collect and analyze student data to monitor and track student growth. Proficient in the use of instructional technology. Demonstrate effective written and oral communications. Maintain a high professional standard consistent with the mission of Sacred HeartSchool and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Implement and model developmentally appropriate classroom practice, including communication, social/emotional well-being, and positive guidance strategies. Implement classroom management strategies which promote student responsibility, problem solving skills, and student accountability. All applicants must meet the minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Education with evidence of coursework/experience in the specified areas New Jersey (or out of state equivalent) teacher certification (standard certificate or certificate of eligibility) *****Non-certified applicants are welcomed to apply.
