Reports ToDirector of MaintenanceWork Year Days250Primary PurposeTo assist in the daily maintenance and operations relating to locksmith, safety, and security functions.QualificationsEducation/Certification:High school diploma or GEDValid Texas Driver License and driving record that is insurable with FISD insurance carrier Special Knowledge/Skills: General knowledge of ADA requirements relating to architectural building hardwareAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors, students, parents, the general public, and others having business with the school districtAbility to handle multiple tasks and work effectively with frequent interruptionsKnowledge of applicable Frisco Independent School District policies and proceduresAbility to work independentlyBasic computer knowledge Experience: Experience with keying, glazing, and architectural hardware trades preferredMajor Responsibilities and DutiesConduct preventative maintenance and inspections on all installed building hardware, including but not limited to: hydraulic door closers, door hinges, door mullions, lock handle sets, and door thresholds.Assist in the maintenance and repair of campus lockers, including summer re-coding of combinations, general maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance, and general repairs to damaged lockers.Maintain and compile combination schedules.Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair office equipment locks, cam locks, cubicle cabinet locks, filing cabinet locks, desk drawer locks, and padlocks.Assist the Locksmith Crew Leader in the planning, installation, service, and maintenance of mechanical and electronic lock systems, exit devices, panic hardware, and other door-related hardware.Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of automatic openers.Conduct emergency repairs to lock and security systems.Manually operate a key coding machine.Maintain key logs that are issued and returned per departmental policies.Assist in the repair, maintenance, or installation of all types of doors, such as hollow metal and aluminum storefront doors, wood fire core doors, and fiberglass reinforced panel (FRP) doors.Other Duties as AssignedFrisco ISD retains the right to adjust the responsibilities and assignments of all positions as needed to meet the needs of the District.Work RelationshipsFrisco ISD is committed to fostering a collaborative work environment that honors and supports the social and emotional well-being of all.
