About the Role
This position focuses on transforming multi-party workflows into products that are instrumented, guardrailed, self-serve, and AI-assisted. The role bridges three customer groups: Vinyl operators, issuers/shareholders, and market partners (DTC, law firms, banks, Broadridge). You'll set product direction alongside engineers without direct management responsibility. The role requires in-office presence at least three days weekly at the West Loop headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
Make Vinyl's operations AI-native. Build baseline metrics on operator effort, then apply human-in-the-loop AI to ingestion, mapping, support triage, and operator copilotsOwn the requirements pipeline. Convert operator and issuer needs into build-ready specifications capturing domain facts, edge cases, and clear recommendationsShip self-serve experiences for issuers and shareholders.
Develop reporting, exports, and status viewsExtend the platform to next workflows: tender offers, escheatment, unclaimed property, and disbursementsInstrument real-time visibility and accountability across multi-party processesDesign correctness and controls into the product: invariants, maker-checker approvals, and audit trailsRole Requirements7+ years in product, program, or technical operationsHands-on AI/ML deployment experience in product or operations contextsStrong technical foundation: code literacy, integration understanding, model evaluation capabilityTrack record designing correctness and controls in regulated or high-stakes domainsDemonstrated ability reducing manual operational load without unnecessary process complexityProven ability measuring business impact and collaborating asynchronouslyNice to HavesFintech, regtech, or compliance-heavy environment experienceFamiliarity with ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, AWS, GitHubTeam or function building experienceOperations-engineering, solutions-architect, or TPM backgroundBenefitsTarget base
