This unique culture enables us to develop our people alongside our business, creating a meaningful impact in every project we undertake.Job DescriptionOlsson provides a comprehensive range of water and wastewater services, encompassing planning, design, permitting, and construction phase assistance. Our top priority is maintaining water quality, and we pride ourselves on our ability to meet diverse client requirements promptly and within budget. Typical projects include piping extensions and rehabilitation, construction of new pump stations, and various treatment plant developments.As a Project Engineer in Water/Wastewater, you will leverage your engineering expertise across various assignments and make independent decisions on engineering complexities for small-scale projects.Key Responsibilities:Conduct in-depth engineering tasks, including project design, cost estimation, and design calculations.Create and manage project documentation, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget to meet project objectives.Independently tackle complex assignments, developing innovative techniques and procedures.Collaborate with project managers to execute design work, report progress, and communicate potential challenges to meet project goals.Participate in client meetings to drive project success.Oversee and mentor less experienced staff members, coordinating their contributions.Work alongside other Olsson technical teams and professional staff to ensure project alignment.Some travel to job sites will be required for on-site observation across various terrains and weather conditions, as well as for projects in different construction stages.QualificationsYou are passionate about:Collaborating effectively with colleagues.Taking ownership of your work.Using your skills to make a difference in communities.You bring to the team:Excellent communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a team.A Bachelor's degree in engineering.6 or more years of industry experience, preferably in wastewater engineering.Current Professional Engineer (PE) license.Additional InformationAt Olsson, we prioritize your development and offer competitive benefits such as a robust 401(k) match, opportunities for flexible work arrangements, and participation in a wellness program promoting balanced lifestyles.
