Title: Phlebotomist IDuration: 3+ MonthsShift: 6:30-3:30 Mon, Tues Wed, Thur, and Fri. 6-1 every SaturdayLocation: Gainesville, FL, 32605Job SummaryThe Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the organization with professionalism and care. This role is responsible for collecting and processing clinical and forensic blood specimens while ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and accuracy. The PSR I creates a positive patient experience by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully and efficiently in compliance with established policies and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily phlebotomy and specimen collection activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisorCollect clinical and forensic specimens following standard operating proceduresPrepare and process specimens for laboratory testingMaintain accurate records and required documentationEnsure patient confidentiality and data accuracy at all timesCreate a safe, professional, and patient-focused environmentExplain procedures clearly to patients to build trust and confidenceDemonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellencePromote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the publicRequired Skills and CompetenciesAbility to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environmentStrong independent work skills with minimal on-site supervisionExcellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collectionsStrong customer service and communication skillsAttention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency with keyboarding and data entry systemsWork Schedule RequirementsFlexible availability requiredMust be available for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as neededEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent (Required)Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, and WA)Experience RequirementsMinimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)One (1) or more years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)Customer service experience in retail or service environments (Preferred)Data entry experience (Required)Additional RequirementsResume must include home city and commute time to job site (must be within 20–25 minutes)Pay rate is based on years of direct phlebotomy experience listed on the resumeOverlapping roles do not count multiple times toward experienceRefer to the Southeast rate card provided by Broadleaf for compensation details
