Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A school district in Middlebury, CT, is seeking a full-time School Psychologist to provide long-term substitute coverage for a maternity leave through the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position is based at a Middle School serving grades 6 through 8 and offers the opportunity to contribute to the academic and social-emotional success of students in a supportive educational environment.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and testing to support student learning and developmentParticipate actively in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings to discuss student needs and recommend servicesCollaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Support middle school students through assessment-driven interventions and counseling servicesMaintain accurate documentation and adhere to district policies and state regulationsQualifications and Experience:Valid School Psychologist certification/license in the state of ConnecticutExperience working with middle school-aged students (grades 6-8) preferredStrong knowledge of psychoeducational assessment tools and proceduresAbility to conduct comprehensive evaluations and deliver effective recommendationsExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teamsPosition Details:Full-Time, Contract Position (Long-Term Substitute)Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through FridayAnticipated duration: Approximately 6 to 8 weeks, starting ASAPCaseload: Middle School students in grades 6-8This role offers an impactful, time-limited opportunity to support students and staff during an important transition period.
