Senior Golang Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Golang Backend Engineer to help us build faster, more reliable, and more intelligent systems as we scale globally.

What You'll Do:

• Build and scale core backend systems: Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our AI conversations, speech processing, lessons, subscriptions, and user state.
• Develop content ingestion pipelines: Build and optimize systems for importing, processing, validating, and managing large volumes of multilingual learning content and AI-generated lessons.
• Power personalized learning experiences: Design data architectures that capture learner progress, speech performance, recurring mistakes, and preferences to deliver increasingly personalized lessons and AI conversations.
• Integrate AI and third-party APIs: Build reliable integrations with LLMs, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, real-time voice technologies, and other external services.
• Improve backend reliability: Identify and eliminate race conditions, intermittent failures, performance bottlenecks, and technical debt.
• Optimize databases and infrastructure: Improve data storage, caching, asynchronous processing, and API performance to support millions of users.
• Build internal tools and automation: Develop systems that streamline content management, lesson ingestion, QA, and operational workflows.
• Enable rapid experimentation: Build scalable infrastructure that allows product and growth teams to launch, measure, and iterate on new features quickly.
• Strengthen engineering quality: Improve observability, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment safety.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience , with strong proficiency in Golang.
• Proven experience designing and scaling production backend systems serving large user bases.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, REST APIs, concurrency, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, caching systems (e.g., Redis), and message queues.
• Experience designing data pipelines, ETL workflows, or high-volume content ingestion systems.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, and CI/CD.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, handling asynchronous workflows, retries, rate limits, and error recovery.
• Strong debugging skills and a track record of improving system performance, stability, and reliability.
• AI-native engineering mindset: You actively leverage AI development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to ship high-quality software faster.
• Comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and moving quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/LLM APIs, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, or real-time voice applications.
• Experience building personalized recommendation systems or adaptive learning platforms.
• Experience with content management systems, automated content generation, or multilingual data pipelines.
• Previous experience with B2C subscription apps or high-scale consumer products.
• Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, feature flags, and A/B testing infrastructure.
