We pride ourselves in working with owners and all team members in a collaborative process to provide cost-effective solutions to the numerous roadblocks that may be encountered during design and construction to ensure successful project execution.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager (APM) works under the direction of a Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager and/or Project Director/Executive, depending on the type and size of a given project. The APM also works closely with Superintendent on assigned projects with the overall project direction, completion, and financial outcome. This role requires collaboration from multiple internal departments as well as direct interface with the customer, subcontractors, and design teams. Additionally, the incumbent assists in management and/or coordination of on-site staff and ensures project documentation is up to date and distributed as required.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and update construction schedule based on project team input, trade contractor progress and materials deliverySetup initial contracts and project informationPrepare monthly owner project status reports, as required, for approval by Sr. Project Manager and/or Project Director/ExecutiveMaintain all tracking logs up to date for accuracy and progressCreate and update weekly meeting minutes & corresponding attachments and distribute to all attending parties, once approved by Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager.Review 3rd party testing reports to confirm compliance and follow up as required with Project Superintendent for close out of open items and reporting.Review, track and distribute RFIsCreate submittal scheduleReview, forward and track status of submittals to ensure compliance with contract documentsComplete project close-outAssist in management and/or coordination of the following:Kick-off documentation by preparing and maintaining documents in the project specific folders for reference and record keeping.Maintain drawing log and update current drawing setsSupport the development of Subcontractor Base and MSA executionProject permit processes and adherenceAssist in the preparation of bid packages and procurementTrack/review approved change order execution and cost of time and materialIssue Weekly RFI/ Submittal and Change Order Logs to ensure all parties are aware of responsibilities and schedule impacts. (Owner/ Sub separately)Issue subcontractors change orders and subsequent execution with the assistance of the Project AccountantDevelopment and maintenance of site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager and Superintendent* Other duties as assigned.QualificationsAssociates or bachelor's degree - Construction Management, Engineering, or related field2-5 years of industry experience. Project management experience a plus1-2 years of supervisory experience, a plusWorking knowledge and efficiency on Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Procore preferredStrong and effective written and verbal communication skillsTime management and organizational skillsAbility to read, understand and interpret drawings and specificationsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
