Journeyworker Electrician

Position Summary:Work involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. The National Electrical Code and all other applicable standards and specifications are followed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrate safe work habits, and comply with Company safety requirementsWorking knowledge of construction, electrical work, systems, and troubleshootingProficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and OSHA/ MSHA safety standards. Enforce all national and local codes and keep up with any changes in the industryAbility to read and interpret blueprintsPossess strong expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, trade related calculations, blueprint and drawing interpretation, and trouble shooting.Able to dig trenches and excavations, either by use of hand tools or power equipmentAble to safely operate two-handed tools/equipment such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammersProperly care for material, tools and equipmentRepresent Muth Electric professionally at all timesEffective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skillsRequired to be on-call when necessaryAble to perform night/weekend work as requiredAble to travel out of town and stay overnight as requiredTeach, train, and guide electrical apprenticesAble to show up to work on time and on a daily basis
