Selects and modifies technical factors to enhance images; uses flare and SAT imaging techniquesDetermines appropriate equipment for scanning up to but not limited to body coilsMust be able to closely follow a physician's instructions, prepares and operates MRI equipment, position patients correctly and effectively record the requested diagnostic imagesIdentifies gross pathology in the human body and adjusts T1 and T2 scanning parameters to provide pertinent information for interpretation.Performs Diffusion studies, MR Angiograms, reformats and MIP imagingUses magnetic resonance and adjusts parameters to minimize exposure to patient and selfFollows established protocols and uses scanning techniques to include, window and contrast levels, scanning time sequences, scanning delays, scanning thickness, FOV, scout images, reformatting, images reconstruct and 3-D image reconstruct.Photographs, archives and retrieves imagesPerforms quality control for procedures and equipment. Documents systems failures and variances in the appropriate logbook and arranges for service when necessaryCertified to start and remove IV lines for contrast studies per established departmental policy and procedure. Identifies and responds to IV contrast reactions up to and including calling emergency personnelProficient in the use of an IV Contrast Power InjectorIdentifies each patient, reviews each patient's requisition and previous studies for consistency(examination ordered/clinical diagnosis), and records pertinent data on MRI requisition at all timesResponsible for performing comprehensive screening of patients and other individuals before allowing them to enter the MR system roomReviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedureIdentifies anatomical orientation on all required images and ensures proper film identification on all images Requirements:Registered with the ARRT; if required by state regulations or contract specification.BLS2 years of experience in related field preferredComplies with all relevant professional standards of practice Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements Experience with Siemens Aera and Altera both 1.5T latest platformSchedule:Days 32hr/week 4x8Friday 7a-330pSaturday 8a-430pSunday 8a-430pMonday 930a-6p*Possibility to extend contract* Thank You,About Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc.-AlliedAmergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has connected the nation's top talent to a variety of healthcare and educational partners since 1988.
