American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN CVPICU for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: CVPICUDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 8 weeks48 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelJob DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience and current SC or compact RN license.ResponsibilitiesPosition is in a 29-bed Pediatric Cardiovascular ICUCares for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, including post-cardiac surgery, VADs, heart transplant, and cardiac catheterizationDay shifts with 4x12 hour schedule, 7:00 to 19:30Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuityWeekend requirement includes 4 shifts per 4-week period and participation in holiday rotationsAll ICU beds are monitored bedsUtilizes Epic EMR systemFloating within scope may be requiredUnit has received the Gold Beacon Award and is a referral center for major pediatric cardiac surgery in South CarolinaCare includes complex therapies such as ECMO and CRRTInterdisciplinary team includes RNs, patient care techs, unit secretaries, respiratory therapy, pediatric dietitians, and pharmacistsFirst-time travelers are acceptedBlock scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteedAll requested time off must be provided at time of application and is subject to unit approvalLocal candidates are considered within a 60-mile radius on a case-by-case basisTravel pairs are not accepted on this unitParticipation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane seasonRequirementsActive SC or compact RN license requiredMinimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experiencePALS and BLS (AHA only) requiredACLS (AHA) preferredVentricular Assist Device (VAD) experience highly preferredEPIC experience preferredMust provide SSN and driver's license for considerationPrevious permanent staff (including PRN) must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a travelerBenefitsHigh Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and DiscountsAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-639971.
