The Patient Safety Specialist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and/or evaluating patient safety principles and practices throughout the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Higher degree if required by professional licensing board.State board licensure in profession of relevance.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPointKnowledge of lean/lean six sigma methodologies.Knowledge of CUSP methodologies.Preferred:Leadership participation in a CUSP team.Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher. Trained in Design Thinking, Human Factors and CUSP methodologies. Master's degree in clinical profession of relevance. Higher degree if required by professional licensing board.Certification in Patient Safety. If not certified at time of hire, certification required within 2 years of date of hire.
