Job Description#LI-CR2 #LI-HybridResponsibilitiesAbout the RoleThe Accounting Advisory Services practice at CBIZ is seeking a Senior Consultant with 3+ years of experience in public accounting as well as industry experience as a senior accountant, accounting manager or consultant role to join the organization's team to support our national practice.The Senior Consultant will be an integral part of the accounting advisory services' team primarily focused on delivering technical and operational accounting support for clients, while developing managerial and client serving skillsets in a team-oriented environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and high energy team and to directly impact the performance and success of the practice.Essential Functions and Primary DutiesProvide accounting advisory support to clients, including implementation assistance with new accounting standardsOutsourced Senior Accountant workAssist in the drafting of technical accounting memos for various topics such as equity versus debt classification, revenue recognition, business combinations, lease accounting and other technical accounting mattersPerforms technical industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available informationAssist in preparation of clients internal and external financial statements including supporting schedules and required disclosuresAssist clients in closing their books on a monthly and annual basisAssistance with audit readinessDevelops and maintains productive working relationships with client personnelReview Consultant work product and provide feedbackResponsible for completion of engagements, including managing all aspects of projectConduct solid analysis; deliver solutions for internal and external clientsAttain revenue objectivesAdhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks with the time requestedParticipate in business development activities to include memberships in qualified organizations (alumni associations, chamber of commerce, networking groups, etc.) or regular business contacts with peers capable or eventually capable of referring potential engagements and cross serve opportunitiesAdditional responsibilities as assigned Preferred QualificationsAdvanced analytical and issue resolution intelligence, problem solving is essentialStrong written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysisAbility to work independently in fast-paced, multi-tasked environmentAbility to effectively interface with team members and client personnel in deadline-driven situationsAbility to manage multiple workflows while staying organizedProficient with PC environments and related software, including Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced skills in ExcelProficient use and analysis of computer models and development of dynamic spreadsheet applicationsUnderstanding of and experience with application and research of U.S. Generally Accepted AccountingCPAAbility to travel up to 10% of the timeDigital asset currency or blockchain experience is a plus QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required3 years of experience in related fieldMust be able to work in a team environmentPresentation skills mandatoryMust possess analytical skillsProficient use of applicable technologyDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization, both internally and externallyMust be able to travel based on client and business needsAbout UsCBIZ Inc. is a leading professional services advisor to middle market businesses and organizations nationwide.
