Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is seeking a full-time Electrician who will perform and provide lead oversight of journey level electrical work including the inspection, repair, installation and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and components.Essential Functions30% Performs journey-level inspections, repairs, installations, service, and maintenance of electrical systems including conduits, duct systems, light and power circuits, motors, generators, transformers, control equipment, switches and other types of electrical lighting and power components20% Prepares and adheres to a schedule of periodic electrical system inspections and preventative maintenance; develops and maintains specifications and documentation for electrical systems and equipment20% Performs cabling and wiring as necessary for the installation of computers and other equipment; computes loads requirements against available power sources, checks blueprints on new construction and remodeling to identify possible electrical maintenance problems; servers as electrical inspector of systems and equipment installations20% Troubleshoots electrical problems of equipment, systems and components; performs electrical system redesigns and reconfigures; plans and estimates costs of special projects, maintains records, logs and system documentation; requisitions electrical supplies and materials10% Cleans up after work is completed; performs general maintenance work; performs other related duties as assigned
