As knowledge is gained of Company equipment and process, this position could develop into a Field Service Engineer role.Essential Functions:Builds quotes for service work by getting estimates on labor, pricing from vendors, review of historical data on the equipment, and schedule availability.Assists in resolving or fielding customer service issues to the appropriate department.Provides troubleshooting remotely for customers.Offers retrofit and design improvements on existing equipment, if applicable.May assist in installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.Assists in determining preventative maintenance and determines when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Confers with customer representatives to determine effective methods of machine operation for specific tasks.Assists with training customer personnel in operating, adjusting, maintaining, and repairing machinery or equipment.May be asked to assist in the identification of training needs and participate in the development of machine-specific training programs.Travels up to 30% of the time once trained.Additional duties as required.RequirementsPreferred:Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a technical field, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated technical capability.Experience using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.Experience installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
