With eight offices throughout Florida and Alabama, we are invested in the places we live and work.Our recruitment efforts are different – we're interested in those ready to apply their passion to turn vision into reality.As a Survey Crew Chief, you will plan, organize, and direct the work of one or more crew members engaged in surveying to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, or other purposes by performing the following responsibilities and duties:Must be able to read and understand civil engineering and survey plansMust have a thorough knowledge of generally accepted land survey procedures and field execution of work and accurate note-keeping for boundary, topographic and construction surveyingMust be able to operate and or direct the operation of an electronic data collector, GPS equipment, optical & robotic total station and digital & optical leveling equipmentMust be able to make an informed decision in the fieldMotivate, train, & lead crew & staff members on proper field proceduresExperience and Qualifications:Valid driver's license and clean driving recordWilling to travel from time to timeExperience with Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Construction Layout, & GPS SurveysHigh school diploma or an equivalentMinimum 3-years of experienceCapable of taking clear, legible field notesMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsAble to work outdoors, in various weather conditions and terrain conditionsExcellent customer service skillsBenefits:All qualifying employees receive benefits, including health and dental insurance, vision plan, personal time off, paid holidays, professional development including tuition reimbursement and community involvement.George F.
