Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager / Estimator for our Mechanical Contracting division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in overseeing projects from conception to completion, with a focus on new construction, design-build, and plan-spec initiatives within the mechanical contracting industry.Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead and manage mechanical contracting projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and vendors to coordinate project activities effectively. Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, proposing and implementing solutions to ensure successful project completion. Estimation: Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical contracting projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors. Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to develop competitive and value-driven bid proposals. Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications and requirements to provide precise and detailed estimates. New Construction: Oversee mechanical contracting projects in the new construction sector, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals. Design-Build: Drive the design-build process by working closely with the design team to develop innovative and efficient mechanical solutions. Manage the coordination between design, construction, and project stakeholders to streamline project execution. Plan-Spec: Manage plan-spec projects by interpreting and implementing project specifications and blueprints. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure accurate and timely project delivery according to plans and specifications. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience in project management and estimation within the mechanical contracting industry. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and related mechanical systems. Proficiency in project management software and estimation tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing project requirements.
