The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) is filling one (1) Programmer Analyst II, position in the Customer Billing System Support (CBSS) group. The position will be located at 233 S. Beaudry Ave, 12th Floor, Los Angeles. The available schedule is 5/40 or 9/80 with a start time between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday.Duties include but not limited to developing and implementing Enterprise Integration Projects using SOA/BPEL/OIC for various CIS systems including CCB/CCS and MWM/OFS, and MDM/MSCS; developing SOA/OIC architecture designs for integration solutions between CIS and various DWP internal and external subsystems; providing support for back-end CIS processes; assisting Release Management Team in reconciling deployment problems; administration, configuration, and performance tuning of SOA servers; setting up Autosys jobs for automating interface components; participating in problem resolution and responding to emergency operational call-outs to restore production system functions. Performs unit, integration, and system testing as related to their assignments. May be assigned to support other systems based on business needs for system developments, enhancements, modifications, and/or interfaces using a variety of languages and tools: .Net, Java, Javascript, HTML, JDeveloper, Oracle SOA/BPEL, WSDL, XML/XSD/XSLT, Autosys, SQL/Oracle databases.Overtime, travel to off-site facilities, and some travel involving overnight stays may be required. Expected to provide extended after-hours support and be responsive tocall-outs.Candidates will be evaluated for the following work related skills, knowledge, abilities and other qualifications.• Knowledge and experience with developing integrations, particularly using Oracle SOA/OSB/OIC, BPEL, XLST, XSD, and Message Queueing technologies.• Knowledge and experience with integrating on-prem and cloud Oracle Utilitiesapplications such as CCB, CCS, MWM, OFS, and MDM.• Experience in analyzing, coding, and troubleshooting using Java, JSON, XML, SQL, SOAP and Restful Web Services.• Knowledge and experience in software testing and change management process.• Knowledge and experience with Linux/Unix and shell scripting.• Knowledge of database management systems and tools.• Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with the user community and project team.• Strong ability in problem solving to analyze and develop technical and businesssolutions.• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.The evaluation of candidates for this position may be based on a review of training and experience as presented on the resume/application and an interview.
