Senior Project Manager/Principal

ResponsibilitiesECS Florida is seeking an experienced Principal or Senior Project Manager to lead our growing Natural Resources team in Panama City. The ideal candidate is a seasoned environmental professional with 10 to 20 years of experience in Florida ecosystems, wetland science, delineation, mitigation, and regulatory permitting.ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of scientists and project managers.Manage complex projects involving wetland delineations, environmental resource permitting (ERP), and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) permitting.Oversee coordination with the Water Management District, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).Develop project budgets, schedules, and proposals while maintaining profitability and quality control.Build and maintain client relationships, leveraging local market knowledge and professional networks to grow the business.Support mitigation planning, UMAM functional assessments, and compliance monitoring.Provide technical oversight and quality control for reports, delineations, and permit applications.Dock, marina, seawall permitting experience a plus.FWC Gopher Tortoise Agent a plus.QualificationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree in related field is strongly preferred.10 to 20 years of professional experience in natural resources consulting, permitting, and fieldwork.Proven leadership in team management, business development, and client relations.Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification strongly preferred.Familiarity with mitigation design, UMAM or WRAP, and arborist or vegetation assessment experience a plus.Established presence and client base in Northwest Florida preferred.About UsECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
