Centered around the eight dimensions of wellness, Elijah Rising provides safe housing, food, utilities, clothing, personal supplies, access to medical and dental care, professional therapy, life skills training, emotional skills, occupational resources, job skills, case management, spiritual care, and transportation 24/7/365.SummaryThe Residential Education Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and coordinating program activities to meet the needs of program residents. This role collaborates with the Residential Manager and Care Team to provide the optimal level of care for each resident.The Residential Education Coordinator is a multifaceted position dedicated to overseeing daily educational operations and providing strategic support to the Residential Coordinator. This role plays a central part in the educational program's success by managing curriculum, lesson planning, and course instruction. Responsibilities include proposing curriculum options, designing lesson plans, teaching diverse courses, supervising volunteer-led classes, and assessing residents' progress. Additionally, the Coordinator ensures the establishment, supervision, and continuity of a standardized educational program, working closely with Case Management to maintain and update weekly resident schedules for optimal program delivery.Required Duties and Responsibilities(Other duties may be assigned as necessary)Leads and guides Bible studies, devotionals, and prayer and worship times as neededEssential FunctionsOversee, train, and support any volunteersEnsure chores are completed by residents and staff at the Education Center Ensure the continuous operation of the educational services, classes, and programming for the Elijah Rising Restoration ProgramEstablishes and maintains the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual class schedule encompassing various educational services such as literacy, computer skills, science, math, English, life skills, financial literacy, and more for the residentsOversee the delivery of services, ensuring seamless integration of all residents at every phase of the programParticipate in the selection and development of the educational curriculumCreate all supplemental educational materials such as handouts, activity sheets, tracking systems, and measurement toolsProvide regular supervision of the classes in order to ensure proficient delivery of servicesDevelop and implement systems to track the efficacy of each class for residentsProvide additional tutoring support to residents as needed for the positive progression of intended outcomesHelp identify and remove any obstacles to learning for the residents in the education program Create systems to motivate residents towards specific learning objectivesMaintain timely communication with staff and volunteersOrient residents to the program's educational requirements and standardsOrder, distribute, and organize all needed supplies for each term well in advance of classesReportingReport all required documentation in a timely mannerOversee accurate reporting for all Education Mentors and volunteersRetain meticulous attendance sheets to ensure the capture of education hours and attendeesEssential FunctionsMaintain order and safety for all residents, volunteers, staff, and visitorsMaintain the cleaning of the home, ensure that residents are completing daily household tasks and weekly chores Track household supplies and replenish when neededMonitor disbursements for stipends and activitiesProvide maintenance issues to the Residential ManagerAct as a mediator between residents when conflict arises Resident CareUphold the policies, procedures, and core values of the programImplement daily schedule and confirm transportation requirements for residents based on the individual service plans created by the Case Manager, engaging staff and volunteers as neededReview and practice program policies and expectations regularly with residentsConduct drug testing and room searches as neededOversee medication disbursement and complete medication logs daily, including any medication changesSupport residents with needs such as filling and pickup of prescription refills At times, explore and organize resident outings while maintaining adherence to the allotted budget and schedule Model behaviors that encourage personal wellnessMaintain healthy boundaries with residents and staff Facilitates and oversees group activities, prayer, and curriculum work, as neededTransport and accompany residents to appointments, reporting comprehensive post-visit summariesQualificationsMust have communication, writing, and language skillsMust be extremely detail-oriented Must have strong time-management skillsMust be interested in psychology and open to learning new therapeutic techniquesMust have emotional intelligence, discernment, and interpersonal skillsMust be CPR/AED certified Must be able to manage time efficiently to meet expected weekly deadlinesAble to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and general business periodicalsAble to write reports, presentations, blogs, essays, as neededMust be able to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios in proportion to practical situationsAble to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsTechnical Competencies:Proficient in Google Workspace tools Comfortable navigating Apple/macOS
