About the job Mid-Level Project Controls ManagerHow will you contribute to the team?- Provides guidance and consultation to Project Managers with general financial management of design and construction projects.- Manages the collection and organization project and program level data from various sources.- Participates in the establishment and management of KPIs to drive decision making.- Supervises the implementation of Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract.- Participates in the design and back-end support for dashboard-level reporting of project and program cost, schedule, and performance metrics.- Organizes project reviews throughout the life of each project.- Directs cost analysis and control activities.- Directs schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities, as required by client needs- Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan and communicates the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management.- Creates project and program level cost and schedule reports.- Provides regular, timely updates on project status to senior leadership.- Participates in the establishment and compliance of document control best practices.- Ensures projects are executed in accordance with contractual requirements, Program Management Plan and Standard Operating Procedures.- Focus on Cost Management, responsibilities include, but not limited to project controls setup and Construction Manager, Architect/Engineer and other vendor onboarding, budget development and project funding support, support client procurement team with bid reviews and contract setup, cost and forecast updates and reporting, cashflow updates and projections, change order review, invoice review, and project closeout tasks.- Scheduling review services is a potential option, need to be determined by clientWhat will you contribute?- 10 to 15+ years project controls experience managing team of project controls staff in a large project or program setting.- Bachelors degree in management, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, orequivalent experience.- Advanced understanding of project accounting methods.- Advanced understanding of project risk management requirements.- Knowledge of CPM scheduling methods and exposure to industry-standard software.- MS Suite, with emphasis on Excel.- Knowledge of PMIS database management.What we offer:- Competitive salary- Flexible work schedules- Group Insurance- Two Floating Holidays- Paid Parental Leave (including maternity and paternity)- Pet Insurance- Retirement Savings Plan with employer match- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)- Learning and development programs, training, career opportunities and a highly regarded tuition reimbursement program- An inclusive culture of Employee Resources Groups centered around women, African-Americans, Hispanics, LGBTQ+, Neurodiversity and Emerging Professionals.- A Foundation that is employee-funded with a 2-to-1 match from the company providing STEAM education for minorities from K-12 to college
