Typical work assignments include:Conducting analysis of suspected criminal activities; developing target packets/profiles; and utilizing systems to perform protective intelligence research and criminal analysis. Planning analytical approaches and determining necessary research and resources needed.Researching and identifying complex issues and cyber technological advances that impart criminal analysis; and formulates recommendations and guidance. Conducting independent research on electronic crime, cybercrime, credit card theft, money laundering, fraud, counterfeiting of U.S. currency and obligations, terrorism, and other financial crimes.Serving as a member of various anti-crime taskforces. Participating as an active member by providing criminal research and analytical advisory assistance related to ongoing investigations, issues, topics, and trends.
