Job Title: Construction SuperintendentJob DescriptionA Construction Superintendent is responsible for providing day-to-day field leadership on two active projects: a historic renovation in Decatur, Michigan, and a church renovation and addition in Paw Paw, Michigan.\The role involves overseeing subcontractors, managing schedules, ensuring safety compliance, conducting inspections, and maintaining quality control. As the on-site representative for the general contractor, the Construction Superintendent coordinates manpower and materials across both locations, maintains daily documentation, enforces OSHA and company safety standards, resolves field issues, and ensures all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and timelines. Strong communication, organization, and renovation experience are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple sites efficiently during the day shift.Responsibilities+ Oversee and manage subcontractors across two active projects.+ Coordinate manpower and materials at both project sites.+ Ensure adherence to schedules, safety compliance, and quality control.+ Conduct regular inspections and maintain daily documentation.+ Resolve field issues promptly and effectively.+ Act as the on-site representative for the general contractor.+ Ensure all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and timelines.Essential Skills+ 3 - 5 years experience as a Construction Superintendent or Construction Manager.+ Strong experience in ground-up construction.+ Proficient in Procore software.+ Experience in commercial construction and subcontractor management.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Previous experience with historic renovation projects is advantageous.+ Strong organizational and communication skills.+ Ability to manage multiple sites efficiently.Work EnvironmentThe Construction Superintendent will work five days a week, from 7 AM to 4 PM.This salaried role offers the opportunity to join an established team, allowing for personal growth and career development.The work environment encourages creating and making impactful changes to building and operating processes.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.27/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
