Job Description: The Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the company to patients as part of their health routine or life-defining health decisions. The role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures. This position requires direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner. The role demonstrates leadership behaviors with a strong focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor s office, a patient service center, or other locations based on business needs. Responsibilities: Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional working environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Verify patient demographic information and initials, including obtaining patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct tube labeling. Maintain required records and documentation accurately. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Requirement/Must Have: Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections. Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Commitment to company policies and procedures, including dress code, employee health and safety, and guiding principles. Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment. Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license, if applicable. Ability to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. Strong customer focus with open and transparent communication skills and adaptability to change. Experience: Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Minimum of two years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard and data entry experience required. Qualification And Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred and required in certain states.
