This positions performs any combination of the following tasks: grade trenches or culverts, position pipe, or seal joints. They also install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Cut pipes to required lengthsConnect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glueCover pipes with earth or other materialsInstall or repair sanitary or stormwater sewer structures or pipe systemsAlign and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealingCheck slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasersDemonstrates continuous effort to improve operationsKnowledgeable in Blue Stake markingsMeet production goals from the direction of the site Foreman or SuperintendentPerforms other duties as required and assignedAdheres to all DCS Contracting safety policies, procedures, and instructions from managementQUALIFICATIONS:1+ year of construction pipe laying or laborer experience requiredGeneral knowledgeable of OSHA standards and requirementsAble to work outside in all weather conditionsWillingness to learn and accept direction from field supervisionMust be a team player and be willing to help out wherever is needed for the success of the projectSafety first mindset, MUST stop work if something is unsafeReliable transportation and work schedule flexibilityAbility to get the job done with minimal supervisionMUST be reliable and dependableMust have reliable transportation to and from work shiftMust be able to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasksThis is a Safety Sensitive position.Must be willing and able to drive within a 60+ mile radius from DCS's office to and from assigned job site.Apply online or at our office located at 11535 E Germann Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286.Work locations: Multiple locations around the Greater Phoenix ValleySe Habla español.We do E-Verify.DCS Contracting, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
