Cybersecurity Risk and Oversight Manager

Job DescriptionGlobal Manufacturing company is seeking a Cybersecurity Risk & Oversight Manager who will be responsible for providing second-line oversight of cybersecurity risk across the firms global operating companies. This role focuses on identifying cybersecurity gaps, assessing risk, and supporting audit readiness prior to formal internal audits. The position works closely with Internal Audit and IT leadership across decentralized operations to continuously strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture.This role requires a strong blend of technical cybersecurity expertise and audit mindset. The individual will not be responsible for day-to-day cybersecurity operations, but will act as a key advisor and assessor to ensure appropriate controls, testing, and risk mitigation practices are in place.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide second-line oversight of cybersecurity controls and risks across global operating companiesProactively identify cybersecurity gaps and weaknesses prior to internal audit activitiesPartner closely with Internal Audit to support cybersecurity-related audits and remediation effortsEvaluate cybersecurity practices across identity and access management, infrastructure, OT, and network securityAssess and review penetration testing, red teaming, and other cybersecurity testing activitiesEvaluate Active Directory security and overall cyber resilience across operationsAdvise operating companies on cybersecurity improvements and risk mitigation strategiesCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a highly decentralized environmentSupport continuous improvement of the organization's cybersecurity maturity QualificationsExperience in cybersecurity audit, cyber risk, or cybersecurity assurance rolesStrong technical cybersecurity background, including hands-on knowledge of security testing and controlsUnderstanding of audit expectations and the ability to interface effectively with auditorsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across global, decentralized teamsStrong communication and relationship-building skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in internal audit, consulting, or industry cybersecurity rolesExposure to OT security environmentsBig Four or consulting experience preferred but not requiredOpening Doors to Incredible Opportunities:For over two decades, Capstone has been working with elite organizations from Fortune 500s to start-ups in some of the most competitive market sectors.
