NAVARA| Location: Portland Cement Plant COABOUT THE ROLEThe Utility Operator safely and efficiently performs a variety of tasks and equipment operation to assist the needs of the facility.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHMaintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipmentPerform unloading functionsAssist with general mechanical maintenanceDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.Other duties as assigned WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: High School diploma/GEDAdditional Education Preferred: Associate's degree in a mechanical, electrical or a related fieldRequired Work Experience: 1 -3 years of heavy equipment operating in a heavy manufacturing environmentRequired Technical Skills: Knowledge of processing methods and appropriate planning techniques. Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Travel Requirements: Local travelAdditional Requirements:Possess strong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated experience troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance background; welding experience desiredAutonomous, meticulous, exercises good judgmentAbility to work well on their own and in a team environmentExperience in the operation of heavy equipmentThe candidate must be flexible regarding his/her work scheduleKnowledge of cement, the construction industry and integrated computer systems an asset. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
