Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Manager

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Laboratory Manager to run our geotechnical and construction materials testing lab in our Phoenix, Arizona office. The successful candidate will:Ensure thorough knowledge and proper application of standard test methods for asphalt, concrete, and soils testingSupervise, train, and mentor laboratory staffMaintain accurate and complete laboratory data and documentationOversee laboratory certification, maintenance, and quality controlMaintain and purchase laboratory equipment as neededManage laboratory budget and control costsOversee workflow and ensure efficient daily operationsCommunicate clearly with Project Managers regarding all aspects of lab activitiesProvide organized and orderly project documentationRequired Skills & ExperienceExperience in soils, asphalt, and concrete testing (or equivalent)5+ years of relevant experience preferredProfessional registrations or certifications preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational abilities and positive attitudeProven work ethic and reliabilityMust hold a valid driver's licenseRequired CertificationsR.G., P.G., or equivalent experienceACI Certifications:Concrete Strength Testing TechnicianConcrete Field Testing Technician - Grade IAggregate Testing Technician - Level 1Aggregate Base Testing TechnicianAggregate Testing Technician - Level 2Masonry Laboratory Testing TechnicianATTI Certifications:AsphaltSoils/AggregateStatusFull-timeLocationPhoenix, AZ
