You'll have the chance to make authoritative and quick decisions within your defined span of control, while adhering to accepted quality standards, policies, and procedures.Job PurposeThe crane operator is required to safely operate cranes efficiently and maintain a standard of accuracy that aligns with the company procedures and customer requirements.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEfficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines ensuring the right selection and set up is made regarding crane, lift or hoistInspects and assesses ground conditions as well as any possible overhead obstructionsMaintain equipment through daily inspections, to include performance of routine maintenance and minor repairs.Maintain logs and records of operational activitiesMaintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quicklyPerforms other duties and tasks as assigned.Required Qualifications & Skills* High school diploma or equivalent* Minimum 3 years experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers and mobile cranes* Class A CDL* Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements* Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime, when necessary* Maintain a current NCCCO Crane Operators License for qualified equipment* Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials or instructions* Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records* Must have strong ability work well within a team environment.Physical Requirements* Strong depth perception and quick reaction time* Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs regularly* Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain all logs and operate machinery* Ability to sit for long periods of time* Ability to work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and coldBenefits PackageMedical, Dental and Vision401K with Company matchCompany-paid employee and dependent life insuranceAnnual reimbursement for safety shoe and prescription safety eyewearHoliday PayVacation PayMarmon Employee Discount ProgramFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
