The Site Acquisition Co-op will help with the analysis and acquisition of new solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage development opportunities and otherwise support our portfolio's development strategy. The Site Acquisition Co-op will support solar PV and energy storage efforts across multiple state markets by identifying the viability of projects based on environmental factors, electrical interconnection capacity, and researching jurisdictional regulations. The ideal candidate is one that possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and strong independence producing research analysis in the workplace.Please note that this is a Co-op position (January 2026 through June 2026). We are seeking candidates who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor's program and are based in the Boston area. This hybrid role requires being in the office at least three (3) days per week.What you'll do:Utilize solar design software and GIS tools to conduct search, analysis, and preliminary design of prospective sitesPrepare and present reports of development opportunities based on environmental, electrical, and regulatory criteriaContribute to early-stage development of BlueWave's solar PV and energy storage pipelines in target markets across the USTrack and complete tasks across the site acquisition process to ensure timely project deliveryWhat we are seeking:A team player who is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and/or Sustainability Science, or related fieldPreference for candidates that have at least one previous co-op or work experience in a related discipline (engineering, design, construction, real estate, or energy development)Exposure to or familiarity with renewable energy systemsAbility to think creatively to help streamline operationsExperience with GIS tools, Google Earth, Google Maps, Microsoft applications, CRM platforms, and AdobeExcellent presentation skills; ability to deliver organized and comprehensive reportsInterpersonal skills along with the ability to work within a fast paced, highly collaborative team environment while managing tight deadlinesDetail-oriented and strong analytical and quantitative skillsSelf-starter with excellent organizational skillsThe anticipated hourly wage for this role is $24 per hour.EEO Statement:BlueWave is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
