SUMMARYThe Delivery Driver will move material, equipment, goods, and other items from one location to another.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:None.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for deliveries to the job sites.Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.Maintains basic records of pre-trip Inspections, truck mileage and deliveries made.Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule, reports abnormalities in pre-trip inspections, larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.Performs other related duties as assigned.RequirementsREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:Ability to drive safely.Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.Ability to plan deliveries, load and unload materials to job sites all over the Midwest.Ability to maintain basic logs and records.Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.Ability to conduct Pre-Trip InspectionAble to remain professional and courteous at all times.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Valid Commercial driver's license for class of vehicle.Valid Medical Examiner's CertificatePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.Prolonged periods sitting at in driver's seat.
