The successful candidate will be a dynamic and technologically savvy individual with the vision and drive to apply state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to a wide range of land surveying and geospatial projects. The survey crew chief will be responsible for leading a team in collecting all required field data for the preparation of a variety of surveying projects, for both public and private clients.Pay would be 42/hrWhat you'll doLead a survey crew in the performance of pipeline, boundary, ALTA, topographic, stake-out and utility surveys, and assist in downloading and processing conventional and GNSS field dataInterface directly with project managers regarding performance of project tasksQC of all field dataResearch, recover and measure real property evidencePrepare field notes, photographs, sketches, and detailed reports as requiredEnsure survey equipment maintenance and calibration is currentSurvey vehicle upkeep and schedule maintenanceUtilize best surveying practices to perform all survey tasksAssist in the training of junior team membersFollow all safety and security proceduresRepresent the company in a professional manner while interfacing with public and private sector clients and the general publicMinimum QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience as a survey field party chiefExperience performing boundary, topographic, utility, pipeline surveying, and construction stake outMust be skilled in operating and performing surveys from boats all-terrain vehiclesExperience running electronic total stations, GNSS and levels requiredMust be a self-starter, with the ability to work independentlyStrong leadership and supervisory skillsMust possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordMust be willing to travel to various project sites and stay overnight, as requiredMust pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug & alcohol testingPreferred QualificationsAssociate's Degree in land surveying or equivalentAutoCAD and field data processingHolding current Operator Qualifications for pipeline probing/depth of cover surveys isProject experience with pipeline and utility companiesCertification as an LSITHydrographic survey experienceExperience running laser scanners and UAV'sAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
