Job Title: HousekeeperJob Location: Greenville NCJob Duration: 12 months on W2 (Temp to Hire)Shift Timings: MON-FRI 2PM - 10PM.Job Description:This position is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and upkeep of company facilities, ensuring all areas meet established standards of hygiene and safety. This role serves as a working lead, performing cleaning duties while also guiding and training housekeeping personnel. This role plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting team development, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. This position requires a proactive approach to leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a safe and clean environment.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishingInspect rooms and common areas to ensure they meet company cleanliness standardsReplenish toiletries, sanitizer dispensers, hand towel dispensers, and other sanitary suppliesRemove and properly dispose of trash throughout the facilityProtect and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working conditionIdentify and coordinate special cleaning projects as neededTrain new housekeeping team members on daily operations and cleaning protocolsServe as a resource and point of contact for team members during assigned shiftsOversee daily housekeeping activities and delegate tasks to ensure coverage and efficiencySupport the supervisor by reporting equipment damage, supply inventory needs, and other operational concernsIdentify and recommend opportunities to improve cleaning processes and team collaborationAssist the supervisor in recognizing training needs and employee performance issuesProvide input on performance evaluations and contribute to a positive team cultureEducation or Equivalent Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentAt least two years of experience in a housekeeping or facilities maintenance role within a corporate or professional environmentProven experience in inventory management, with the ability to effectively monitor cleaning supply levels and initiate timely reordering to ensure operational continuityAt least one year of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity, with proven ability to lead teams and work independently as well as collaborativelyProficient in operating and maintaining floor care equipment and other cleaning toolsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and instructionsPhysical Requirements:Position requires the ability to lift and pull in excess of 50 lbs. unassisted, and push in excess of 100 lbsMajority of work is performed while standing and walkingRequires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulationsRequires the ability to bend, squat, reach, push, pull, climb, stoop, twist, and have full range of motion in upper and lower extremitiesRequires the ability to stand for extended periods of timeSome exposure to hazardous chemical, other active chemical ingredients, dust, fumes, and gases
