We pride ourselves on fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment where interns are valued members of the team and are given meaningful projects to work on.Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team. This role combines core logistics functions with production support responsibilities to ensure seamless operations. The successful candidate will manage logistics activities using our TMS System Mercury Gate, prepare accurate shipping and export documentation, and coordinate with carriers and customs brokers for timely deliveries. In addition, this position will support production by creating and closing work orders, collaborating with the production team and supervisors, and handling customer invoicing for equipment. The Logistics Specialist will also maintain accurate records to ensure compliance and efficiency across all processes.Key Responsibilities:Operate and manage the Transportation Management System (TMS) to optimize logistics operations.Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and labels.Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods.Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that arise.Ensure compliance with export documentation requirements and maintain accurate records of shipments.Work closely with production, sales, and project management to ensure smooth logistics operations.Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to shipping and delivery.Maintain accurate documentation and tracking information for all logistics activities.Create and close production work orders to maintain accurate records of manufacturing activities.Invoice customer equipment accurately and timely to ensure proper billing and payment.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects, covering for colleagues, and participating in company events.Job Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree in business or similar field is desired Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (Mercury Gate experience a plus).Strong knowledge of shipping and export documentation requirements.Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Positive attitude, self-motivated, and committed to issue resolution.Benefits:Competitive SalaryComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plansGenerous vacation and paid time off401K retirement savings plan with employer matchingProfessional development opportunities, including tuition reimbursement, and conference attendanceCompany-sponsored social events and team-building activitiesState-of-the-art equipment and tools to support your workEqual Opportunity Employer: We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
