Job DescriptionAt ElevaIT, we’re currently looking for a Pharmacy Technician for 3 months with a possible extension with our direct client—and I think you might be a great fit Job Title: Specialty Pharmacy TechnicianLocation: Orlando FL 32837Duration: 3 months with possible extensionJob Type: Contract Top 3 Required Skills:Specialty pharmacy fulfillment experiencePrescription dispensing, packaging, and shippingPharmacy claims adjudication & data entryMust-Have Skills:3–5 years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in specialty or fulfillment pharmacyStrong understanding of drug terminology and specialty therapiesExperience with prescription data entry, refill processing, and claims adjudicationAbility to accurately prepare, label, package, and ship medications and related suppliesKnowledge of HIPAA, regulatory, and accreditation requirementsProficiency with pharmacy systems and basic pharmaceutical calculationsStrong customer service, communication, and attention to detailKey Responsibilities:Accurately enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system to generate required documentation.Process prescription orders, supply, and equipment requests while meeting productivity and quality standards.Contact prescribers for new prescriptions, refill authorizations, and order clarifications.Receive and resolve inbound calls from patients, caregivers, and prescribers.Select appropriate medications, supplies, and ancillaries based on prescription and patient needs.Forward entered prescriptions to pharmacists for verification and clarification as needed.Adjudicate pharmacy claims and resolve claim-related issues.Fill patient orders by retrieving correct medications, verifying quantities, and preparing prescription labels.Ensure client-specific materials are included with each order and prepare shipments for delivery.Assist with packing, labeling, and shipping medications using appropriate materials and methods.Generate shipping labels and coordinate delivery scheduling with patients and caregivers.Clean dispensing equipment and replenish workstation supplies at scheduled intervals.Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and proprietary information in compliance with HIPAA.Complete quality assurance documentation and report issues to the supervising pharmacist.Participate in on-call responsibilities when required.Requirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredActive State of Florida Pharmacy Technician License required3–5 years of pharmacy technician experience (specialty pharmacy strongly preferred)Ability to perform intermediate pharmaceutical calculations accuratelyStrong understanding of regulatory, safety, and compliance standardsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced fulfillment environment with high accuracyExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail
