Works with software and controls engineering to develop 3D models for mid-sized automated projects. Reviews and monitors the work of other team members and mentors less-senior team members. Typically tasked to develop client deliverable solutions.We are looking for Sr. Emulation Engineer I-III position.Responsibilities1) Performs and leads emulation of usually mid to large-sized material handling systems, developing, designing, engineering, and integration of multiple technologies.2) Reviews the work of other team members and mentors less-senior team members.3) Collaborates with other engineers supporting the design of usually mid to large-sized end-to-end material handling systems that integrate multiple technologies such as sortation conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems, robotics, voice and light picking systems, and supporting structures4) Develops 3D emulation models to validate system equipment controls and system software for internal or client/customer use5) Provides engineering support for emulation models6) Performs data collection and analysis to define design criteria and validate designs7) Identifies opportunities for process and product improvement8) Works with vendors to develop emulation models or interface points9) Provides feedback to multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients about design considerations, consequences, and results derived from the emulation10) Travels up to 10%QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial or related technical field or equivalent experience.Experience in material handling industry, minimum of 7 yearsExperience in simulation or emulation experience, minimum of 5 yearsExperience in software development with emphasis on object oriented design, minimum 3 yearsAdvanced knowledge of material handling, including controls and software and material handling equipment technologyAdvanced knowledge of process improvement processes and mathematical modeling of systemsProficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, and SQL and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.Familiarity of AutoCADAdvanced knowledge of Javascript or similar scripting languagesFamiliar with UX conceptsAdvanced knowledge or experience with Demo/Emulate 3d, Automod, or similar simulation software.Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlinesAbility to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results-oriented environmentStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsStrong data visualization and presentation skillsStrategic thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and understand and perform gap analysis on interface specification documentsAbility to learn new technologies Benefits SummaryGenerous PTO which includes Vacation, Sick, Floating Holidays and Company Observed HolidaysHealth insurance including prescription drugs, dental, and vision insurance coverage, at a nominal monthly cost for you and your dependentsHealth Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for Health Care expensesDaifuku Intralogistics 401K Plan with a company matchVoluntary and Company paid life insurance along with company paid short- and long-term disability insuranceAllow us to invest in you and join our Tuition Reimbursement Program
