The Body Shop Technician is responsible for performing structural and non-structural repairs in accordance to manufacture specifications.The Body Shop Technician is supervised by the Body Shop Director.Essential Functions and Duties• Review and perform repairs as outline by estimate.• Communicate with estimator throughout the tear down process to help identity hidden damages.• Perform electronic measuring and pulls in a timely and safe manner.• Perform quality check on work completed before and after paint.• Complete BMW, Volvo, and Jaguar Land Rover certification within six months of employment• Keep the work area organized.• Weld aluminum, metal, and silicon bronze as needed.• Other duties as assigned.• Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.• Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Belts worn on trousers to be of no buckle design to avoid scratching paint on customer's vehicles.• Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.• Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.• Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.RequirementsAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities• Time Management - ability to manage one's own time• I-Car Aluminum or interested in becoming certified• 2 Years of an A level technician• Have all tools necessary to work• Motivated to exceed goals• Attention to detailPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
