As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:Successful completion of a Radiology program of study with specialization and training in MRIOne years' experience as an MRI TechValid Radiology/MRI license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)Preferred Qualifications:Current ARRT or equivalent certificationCurrent ARMRIT or equivalent certificationOther certifications and licenses may be required for this positionSummary:The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to produce high-quality 3D images used in medical diagnosis. They interact directly with patients and administer intravenous injections of contrast dye as needed and collaborate with healthcare teams to provide accurate diagnostic results. MRI Technologists are responsible for maintaining equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring patient-centered care throughout the imaging process.Essential Work Functions:Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications prior to procedure, ensuring compliance with safety protocolsEducate patients on MRI procedure and answers questions if they ariseMaintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any malfunctionsStart I.V.s and administer contrast media per orders and protocol, monitoring patients for adverse reactionsMonitor image quality during procedures and make adjustments to scanning parameters for optimal diagnostic resultsDocument all procedure details, including imaging parameters and patient observations, in compliance with hospital policiesCollaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging and timely delivery of resultsMaintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with infection control and hospital policiesFollow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocolsPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of an MRI TechnologistRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipmentlbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
