Selected applicant will be required to take the Construction Technician test administered by the GA Dept. of TransportationSTATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:* High school diploma or GEDAGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to learn to perform routine support duties for assigned program area (i.e. construction, surveying, traffic operations, lab testing or data collection).Ability to learn to operate equipment and/or instruments as required.Ability to assist in data gathering or collect data as requested.Ability to perform computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly.Demonstrates basic math skills (percentages, area of a triangle, trapezoid or circle, volume of a cylinder, rectangular prism, and unit conversions).Commitment to providing quality customer service.IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL GDOT JOBSThe interview is just one part of the overall selection process and is not the only criteria used to make the final selection. In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation.
