Job DescriptionJob Quick Facts:• Specialty: Pediatric Hospitalist• Job Type: Locum Tenens• Facility Location: Eureka, CA• Service Setting: Inpatient• Reason For Coverage: Supplemental• Coverage Period: Mar 12, 2026 - Ongoing• Shifts needed to be filled:- Mar 12(6a) - 19(6a)- Apr 4(6a) - 6(6a), 22(6a) - 26(6a)• Coverage Type: Call only• Call Schedule: 24-hr call; 6a-6a• Call Type: Beeper• Call Response Time: 20-30 mins• Admissions: 2• Discharges: 2• Support Staff: RNs• Required Procedures:- Intubation (ETT/NT): Newborn & Pediatrics (chest tubes, intubations for peds would most likely occur in the ED)- Central line, UVC & UAC placement (only for neonates)- Neonatal airway mgmt including intubation- Mgmt of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax including needle decompression- Emergent UVC placement (delivery room)- Lumbar puncture & EKG interpretation- PREFERRED: Ventilator mgmt. & Chest tube insertion (neonates)• Nursery Level: I• NICU Level: II• Nursery Floor: 4-6• EMR: Epic• Hospital Privileges required: Yes• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance coveredRequirements:• Active CA License• BC/BE (3-5 years post residency)• BLS, ACLS & PALS
