Kemco Aerospace/Crestview Aerospace is comprised of two (2) manufacturing sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL, and employs approximately 350 professionals.Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Inspector to support the inspection of precision-machined parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses heavily on hands-on inspection and measurement, ensuring products meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform first-article, in-process, roaming, and final inspections on precision-machined partsUse a wide range of inspection and measurement tools daily; inspection activities comprise 90% or more of the roleRead and interpret engineering prints, drawings, and specifications to verify product requirementsConduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects or non-conformancesAccurately document inspection results and complete required quality records and formsCommunicate inspection findings to the quality, production, and engineering teams as neededSupport additional quality department tasks and initiatives as assignedRequired Skills & AbilitiesStrong ability to read and interpret engineering prints and technical documentationProficiency with measurement and inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread plugs, and plug gaugesExceptional attention to detail in both measurement and documentationExcellent visual acuity and ability to identify defectsAbility to maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced, distraction-prone environmentEfficiency-driven mindset with strong time-management skillsSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionAbility to read, understand, and follow SOPs, specifications, and inspection formsQuick learner with a high level of trainabilityStrong, reliable attendancePreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferredExperience in a machining environment (quality or production) preferredFamiliarity with quality inspection processes and techniquesExperience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook, preferredThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
