Supplier Engineer III - External OperationsAbout the Role:At Boston Scientific, as part of the External Operations team supporting Sourced Finished Medical Devices in the IC/PI division, the Supplier Engineer III assists with the design and development of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet manufacturing delivery targets, minimize costs, and ensure product quality at BSC Finished Good Suppliers.
Your Responsibilities
Include:Sustaining activities at suppliers for Capital Equipment and associated accessoriesCollaborating with suppliers and extended team for investigation of device issues or supply constraints through use of problem-solving, process capability studies, Six Sigma and Value Improvement projects, data analytics and/or process documentation. Supporting and/or leading projects for product qualification, change management, process development, cost reduction, capacity management, and all related documentation activitiesCollaborating with cross-functional teams to qualify and improve supplier processes; submit and manage manufacturing change requests, as necessaryCommunication of status, project updates, key findings, etc. to stakeholdersEnsuring corrective actions are identified, implemented and controlled by suppliersWhat We're Looking For:Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline3+ years of experience in engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, supporting Capital Equipment/electronics manufacturingAbility to travel up to 20% (domestic and/or international)Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in regulated industry, specifically working with suppliers and/or contract manufacturersStrong electrical engineering or electronics backgroundInterpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and external relationshipsOrganized and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projectsStrong knowledge base of statistical methods, problem-solving techniques, lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologiesUnderstanding of validation, risk management documentation (Design and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis), and product lifecycleRequisition ID: 620780Minimum Salary: $ 76000Maximum Salary: $ 144400The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com-will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
