Job descriptionAre you looking for a career? We are looking to train a few new peopleStructured Cable Technician:Installation and testing of projects including but not limited to access control, intrusion and detection systems, video surveillance, mass notification, distributed annotation systems (DAS), Structured Cable, Paging, CATV and Fiber optics.Reporting Relationship:Report Directly to Project ManagersAuthority:Make on site decisions that correspond with Communication Innovators policies and proceduresRequirements:Technical domain knowledge sufficient to perform responsibilities, satisfyperformance measurements and ensure credibility with external stakeholdersHave a valid driver licenseAbility to problem solve and work with hands.Ability to travel on short noticePhysical Requirements:Ability to climb a 6 or 8 foot ladderAble to lift 55LbsWork on your feet for a minimum of 8 hoursAble bend, stoop or crouchAble to climb stairsResponsibilities:Analyze blueprints and other documentation needed to execute project on time and under budgetPrepare/install cable pathways and supportsRunning new cabling in new or existing buildingsTermination and testing of new and existing cables: Cat5e, Cat6 and 10gigSet up telecommunication frames including racks, cabinets and wall mount racksOperate test equipment, including tones, twisted pair checkers butt set and cable scanners (Fluke DTX1800)Able to adapt to change in scope of work, work hours, project size and travelBe able to install, terminate, test and commission a wide range of products, including but not limited to voice and data cabling, paging systems, camera systems, security systems, and audio visual systemsAbility to manage different personalities as it applies to the jobPerformance Measurements:Adherence to Time sheet and expense report policiesMinimum customer satisfaction rating to be determinedInstallation quality and performanceGet along with coworkers and managementAttendance and punctualityJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From $18-20 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insuranceExperience:Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
