We are currently recruiting for a Weekday 2nd Shift Dock Safety Coordinator for our Palmetto, GA site. In this role you will be responsible for reinforcing safety quality input, standards, and output on new projects and processes in place. The completion of all assigned safety tasks are also part of your responsibility.About the RoleHow you will contributeObserve drivers unloading and loading trucks to ensure they follow safe practices. Maintain communication and situational awareness with delivery drivers to ensure the drivers unload and load and deliver goods in a timely manner.Report safety hazards, and unsafe practices and procedures to health and safety team leadershipMaintain open communications with the syncreon inbound and outbound operations team, and resolve issues as they occur to streamline deliveries via radio and PINCMaintain records of preventative maintenance of dock equipment.Walk the yard to identify unsafe practices and safety hazards. Report problems to the health and safety team leadership and syncreon senior leadershipEngage/Disengage gladhand lock on trailersRemove and properly dispose of seals on trailersEngage/ Disengage Dock Lock controlEnter data in PINC regarding engaging/disengaging of gladhand lockLift, Push, and/or Pull dock plate and dock doorOther duties as assigned.CompensationDP World offers exciting and challenging roles within a growing international organization.
