Other duties may be assigned as needed.Inspects incoming materials per applicable drawings, specifications, and PO Notes.Takes measurements using calipers, micrometers, rulers, multimeters, etc. to determine product conformity.Performs in-process and final inspections, as needed.Enters and maintains records of inspectionIdentifies and segregates nonconforming material. Writes red-tags and initiates nonconforming reports.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Ability to effectively operate visual magnification devices (microscopes, etc.)Ability to effectively operate and interpret basic mechanical measuring devicesComfortable working in a manufacturing / production environmentCandidate must have good attention to detail with vision correctable to 20/20.Good verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrates proficiency in Windows, MS Office SuiteUnderstanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; or technical school preferred; and two plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, certificate, and experience.Recent experience to include inspection of: Electrical Assemblies, PCBAs, Cables and Wire Harnesses, Mechanical Assemblies, Machined and Injection Molded Components.Candidate should be computer savvy and experienced with Microsoft Office programs, and Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP) for entering product acceptance details. An understanding of International Organization for Standardization (ISO).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with AS9100 Quality Management SystemsExperience with AS9102 First Article InspectionLANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations. Must read, write, and speak fluent English.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
