As a pipelayer at HEI, you will play a crucial role in the execution of our construction projects. Whether it's roadways, bridges, or water infrastructure, your work will have a direct impact on the success and timeliness of our projectsKey Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Set proper grades and elevations i.e. flowline, grade stick, string lineCheck slopes for conformance to grading elevations, using levels or lasersConnect bell and spigot, sewer and water pipelinesCover pipes with aggregate and native material and compactHand dig bell holes to verify existing utility locationsGrade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand toolsInstall and repair water, storm-water and sewer structures and pipe systems within trench shoring shieldsLay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisorsAssure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviorsAbility to take direction from the Foreman and provide support to peersWork safely while adhering to HEI requirements and OSHA regulationsMaintain dependability and responsibility to be at work on timeRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:1 year experience is preferred; but not requiredGeneral knowledge of underground utility work including materials, methods, and tools involved in the installationTrack record of performing similar tasks safely and accuratelyAbility to repetitively lift and carry at least 60 lbs. on a consistent basisMust have flexibility to work nights and weekendsPay: $22+ per hour; Based on ExperienceJob Type: Full-time, NonexemptBenefits (available after waiting period):* Paid Sick LeaveSix Paid HolidaysHealth Insurance401K* $10,000 company-paid life insurance* Voluntary dental, vision, life, and Colonial supplemental insuranceHow to Apply: To apply, please visit our careers page at careers.heicivil.com, the acceptance of applications is ongoing.
