The position supports pharmacists and providers to ensure accurate medication management in a hospital setting, contributing to comprehensive patient care.DescriptionSenior Pharmacy Technician at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.Full-Time/Day ShiftThe Acute Care Pharmacy Technician III is well versed in multiple areas of inpatient pharmacy technician areas. Work responsibilities include collecting medication histories for emergency department or newly admitted patients, and direct patient interaction. Technicians work closely with pharmacists and providers to validate and verify medications patients are taking prior to admission and document the medication list in the medical record. Other pharmacy technician duties include all other areas of an inpatient pharmacy such as filling and transporting medication to nursing units in a prompt and accurate manner, as well as mixing sterile and non-sterile preparations.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they're invaluable. Diploma or GED.Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician.
