Arroyo Vista Family Health Center is a network of four federally qualified community health centers and a mobile clinic established in 1981 and located in Los Angeles. We provide comprehensive, affordable, quality primary, specialty and urgent health care services in a compassionate, linguistically appropriate and cultural sensitive manner regardless of ability to pay. Our services include medical, dental, optometry, behavioral health, radiology, ultrasound, mammography, laboratory, pharmacy, and health education. We are accredited by The Joint Commission for ambulatory services and certified as a Primary Care Medical Home. We serve as a clinical training center for medical students and nurse practitioners through our affiliation with local universities.Our mission is to meet the current and future health needs of greater Northeast Los Angeles by providing high quality, comprehensive, and affordable health care services in a compassionate and financially responsible manner.Job DescriptionThe Family Practice/Medicine Physician will provide medical care to pediatrics through geriatrics, including examine, diagnose, prevent and treat, illness, disease and injury. The physician will examine or conduct tests to provide information on medical status, analyze records, reports, test results, and/or examination to diagnose medical condition of patient, prescribe and administer treatment, therapy, medication and/or vaccination. The physician will explain diagnosis, procedures and discuss test results on prescribed treatments with patient and advice patients concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. The physician will collaborate with other physicians and mid-level providers. The physician will participate in medical and interdisciplinary clinical committees. The physician may participate as a preceptor for medical and nurse practitioner students. The physician will perform other job related duties as required by departmental needs and demands.Requirements MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency program Board certified or Board eligible Valid CA state license, DEA and BLS Ability to work well with others in a professional manner in a team oriented environment Knowledgeable of, competent and compliant with Electronic Medical Records Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable Valid CA driver's license, access to an automobile and state-required auto liability coverage Compensation and Benefits PacketArroyo Vista Family Health Center values its team, encourages a positive work environment and offers a competitive benefit package: Annual Salary $240,000 to $250,000 Federal Loan Repayment Eligibility (National Health Service Corp) Paid time off (23 days paid personal time off; 7 days paid holidays) Paid CME time off (5 days paid) and $1,000 CME stipend Full Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision Employer pays 100% of health benefits for employees Employer pays portion of dependent cost 401K plan Life Insurance Medical Malpractice Insurance Coverage under FTCA Relocation Assistance Compensation
