Job DescriptionPosition: Phlebotomist Floater (Mobile)Main/Home Base Location: Mount Vernon NY 10550)Other Locations: The floater will be covering other PSC's in Portchester, Mount Vernon, White Plains, Yonkers, Bronx.Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 6:00pm ) as needed, w/rotating Saturday (9:00am - 2:00pm) - 40 hours per weekPay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hourJob Description:Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as requiredDemonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.Fully understand all of the physicians' orders.Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
